Indian shares edged higher on Tuesday after a flat opening. The Sensex gained nearly 75 points while Nifty added nearly 20 points to reach 9,636.85. Meanwhile, Asian shares mostly rebounded on Tuesday despite a further slide in U.S. tech shares. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan rose 0.4 percent, recouping about half of the previous session’s losses as regional tech shares regained their composure. Overnight, tech giants including Apple, Alphabet, Facebook and Microsoft were sold for the second consecutive day on Monday dragging the Nasdaq 0.5 per cent lower.
