THERE are only about 650 properties in the blue chip harbourside suburb of Clontarf.
Last year 28 properties changed hands, but this year is shaping up to be a sales bonanza for the suburb.
Up until June 18, CoreLogic reported there had been 18 sales so far for 2018 — collectively worth about $74 million.

Two of the sales — both in Monash Cres — have been in the double digit millions.
The run of sales has left only a handful of properties on the market. And 71 Cutler Rd is the newest one on the block.
It has a trophy home price tag, but it is every bit a home fit for a king.
David Rothschild, of The Agency, said the current owners had bought the property with the original 1950s home on it, and set about a massive renovation that left only the original footprint and the pool, which underwent a $200,000 redesign and rebuild.
“It is an amazing build,” he said.

He said the location above Castle Rock Beach and overlooking the harbour were added features that were attracting plenty of oohs and ahs from buyers, he said.
The private stairway down to the sand was another bonus.
“It’s all about the position and it does look all over the place,” he said.
“It’s probably one of the nicest pieces of sandy beach around.”
